Coconut Grove · Miami, FL
A concrete-and-light retreat where raw architecture meets coastal calm — minutes from the bay, the village, and the canopy.
The Space
Plaza Grove is a study in warm contrast. Board-formed concrete ceilings press down over polished concrete floors, while white oak, linen, and rattan soften every corner. Light pours through black steel-framed windows and gathers in the open, double-height heart of the house.
Downstairs flows as one calm, social space — a galley kitchen in deep petrol green, a long oak dining table beneath the sculptural stair, and a living room built around a low linen sectional. Upstairs, vaulted plywood ceilings and paper-globe light give the bedrooms a quiet, restful hush.
It is a home for slow mornings and long dinners, for guests who notice materials and light — a few blocks from everything that makes Coconut Grove the best address in Miami.

The Architecture
This is a home that wears its structure honestly. The board-formed concrete overhead carries the grain of the timber it was cast against — a ceiling you'll find yourself looking up at. Beneath it, seamless polished concrete runs underfoot, cool in the Miami heat.
Every soft thing is natural: white oak cabinetry, marble vanities, woven rattan sconces, linen upholstery, jute underfoot, and olive trees catching the afternoon sun.

Everything you need
The Neighborhood
Miami's oldest and leafiest neighborhood — a canopy of oak and banyan over walkable streets, marinas, and sidewalk cafés. Sail from Dinner Key in the morning, browse the galleries of the village by afternoon, and be back for dinner without ever touching a highway.
